Finally got done with self-edit. Now onto the website part and the Action plan.

Welcome Back!

For the senior year, I have changed my plan for what I'm going to do.

Im going to still do a show and tell type but more of a comparison.
My action plan will be to take old videos from the past and show the difference between then and today and all the hard work that went into what we had to do in order to get to where we are today. That will be my action plan- to show what happens today and how far we have come from the original videos that will be incorperated in.

Austism: planning ahead

Well, I think for my action plan that I will go to the Zoo walk in Oct.

For my final project visual evidences, I will incorperate my bro's old home video and maybe do like a "show and tell" with him.

Everthing is coming along well.

Still researching, hard to find good evidence of causes and cures

Presention done fairly well yesterday

Did you know?...

1 in 150 births

1-1.5million Americans have

Fastest growing mental disabilities

10%-17% annual growth

$90 billion cost/yearly

Cost of lifelong care can be reduced by 2/3 with early diagnosis and intervention

In 10 years, the annual cost will be $200-400 billion

Autism is 4-5 times more prevalent in males than in females.

Presently, there is no cure for autism. However, there are various treatment options to ameliorate the symptoms.

Presently, there is no known single cause for autism. However, autism is not caused environmentally by a child's upbringing.

Research indicates that people with autism learn best through a structured environment.

Autism occurs in all countries and within all socioeconomic classes.

Research indicates that the earlier the intervention, the better for people with autism.

Final Choice

I have obviously chose to go with Autism as my topic.

Finding sites on it is easy, but key terms dealing with just Autism is hard.

Wednesday, May 6, 2009

Just with some general searching, Id say Autism or the Raid Guild are best choices.

Lots of info on both topics, starting out fresh all the way through the very deep thinking/trying.

As usual, you might have to look around a bit though. Some information might be hard to find but it is there.

I know many people that could help me with the Autism topic. But at the same time, Raid Guild would be alot for fun and exciting but also very time consuming just trying to start it up.

Still a tossup between the topics.

Grad Topic

For my grad. project, I have a few things in mind:

-Autism Awarness: What its really like?

-Raid/PVP Guild: More than just mindless gaming?

-Bass: Is it all thump-thumping?

*With the Autism, I could share what I know and what I have lived (my brother and myself) with for all my life.
*In Raid Guilds, its more like a buisness than just fooling around. Explaing the process and what it invloves to actually make a successful guild.
*Bass would just show what I have learned and what I have still to learn.

Concerns?: Will I have enough time to put a full plan and pull it out and explain it?
What materials/support will I need?
